Abby Pierrot
Biography
Meet Abby Pierrot (Pierre-Oh), an emerging pop artist from Vancouver, BC. With her sultry vocals, haunting melodies, and introspective lyrics, Pierrot transports listeners into the dark underbelly of adolescence, describing love, loss and the uncertainty of self-discovery. Influenced by artists like Lana Del Rey and Halsey, her music showcases a captivating blend of darkness and vulnerability.
On the release of her latest single "Ego" (August 2023), she and producer Jordan Klassen (Dear Rouge, The Tourist Company) blend their talents to deliver dynamic instrumentals and vulnerable lyricism. (August 2023) “I wrote this when I was seventeen.” Recollects Pierrot. “I was in a relationship, and I felt trapped. Everyone was wondering why I wouldn’t leave him, and I couldn’t find the words to explain to them that it wasn’t that easy.”
Abby’s passion for music began at a young age. When she wasn’t writing poetry, she was teaching herself guitar and piano. Plucking out melodies and writing lyrics detailing everything from the failed romances of her youth to a very nice pair of glasses she encountered at summer camp.
Off stage, Abby is a thrift enthusiast with a passion for obscure history. She often spends her free time exploring local thrift stores or browsing the depths of Wikipedia. She also shares her home with four beloved cats, whom she occasionally serenades.
