Biography

Abby Pierrot (Pierre-OH) is a Vancouver-based songwriter creating cinematic indie pop so intimate, it feels like you shouldn't be hearing it. Fascinated by the stories we inherit, Pierrot excavates her memories through lo-fi pop production and unexpected textures. Drawing inspiration from artists like Ethel Cain, Weyes Blood, and early Lana Del Rey, her music blends atmospheric production with intimate songwriting, often exploring the space between who we are and who we’ve been told to be.

Her latest single “you liked me that way” (August 2026) is her most honest expression to date. Produced in tandem with Lila Gray, the duo creates a hazy, lo-fi indie pop track. Built around dense, choir-like vocal layers that drift over ambient production and understated drums, it creates a delicate dream-pop soundscape that grows more unsettling the longer you listen. The song explores inherited identity, tracing the uncomfortable realization that we often carry the people we're trying hardest not to become.

Since releasing her debut EP “III” (2021) with producer Tom Dobrzanski (The Zolas, Said the Whale), Pierrot has accumulated over 300,000 streams and quietly carved out her place within the Vancouver indie scene. Often performing in backyards, bars, coffee shops, empty pools, and garages. Her 2023 single, “Drink His Wine”, a dark-pop anthem that earned radio play across Western Canada and placements on Apple Music editorials including New in Pop, marked a turning point. Shortly after its release, Pierrot stepped away from music before returning with a new perspective and a body of songs less interested in pointing fingers than in examining how she got to be this way in the first place.

Off stage, you can find Pierrot earning her undergraduate degree in International Relations, which she hopes to use to create world peace. She spends her free time digging up the past, nursing her geriatric cat, and speaking broken Arabic to whoever will listen (she's trying to learn, but it's quite difficult). She can also list every American president in order.
